Kevin Millwood allowed just one unearned run over seven innings as the Rangers drubbed the A's 10-3 on Monday night.
Millwood struck out only two batters, but limited the A's to three hits and walked only one in the excellent effort. It marks the first time Millwood has completed seven innings in a game since the start of July -- a span of 12 starts during which he'd gone 2-5 with a 6.29 ERA. By surpassing the 180-inning mark tonight, Millwood activated the 2010 option on his contract with the Rangers, though they'd almost certainly have brought him back anyway.
