General manager Ed Wade is open to bringing back Miguel Tejada next season.
"Everybody is aware Miggy is a free agent and that's 199 hits and a guy who did a really super job for us and a two-time All-Star [with the Astros]," said general manager Ed Wade. "We're not prepared to close any doors with Miggy." Tejada, 35, batted .313/.340/.455 with 14 homers and 86 RBI in 2009, but would likely need to take a significant paycut to return. Tejada was one of the worst fielding shortstops in the majors last season according to UZR, so a move to third base should be in his future. |
