According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Los Angeles Daily News, Eric Milton underwent microdiskectomy on his lower back on Tuesday.
The surgery, performed by Dr. Robert Watkins, was successful. Milton had disk herniation removed from the back. He won't resume baseball activities for at least three months, which effectively shuts him down for the year. Milton was a nice comeback story for the Dodgers this season, going 2-1 with a 3.80 ERA and 20/6 K/BB ratio in 23 2/3 innings, spanning five starts. Source: Los Angeles Daily News
