 Kevin Millar-1B- CubsFeb. 2 - 9:16 am et
Cubs signed 1B Kevin Millar to a minor league contract.
The deal comes with an invitation to spring training, where Millar will try to win a spot with the Cubs as a backup first baseman and pinch-hitter. The 37-year-old hit just .223/.311/.363 in 283 plate appearances for the Blue Jays last season and is no doubt on the tail end of his career. But he's generally thought of as an excellent clubhouse presence, for what it's worth.

 Kevin Millar-1B - Cubs Feb. 1 - 2:45 pm et

Kevin Millar will sign a minor league contract with the Cubs, according to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick.
Millar will receive an invite to spring training and the deal will be made official later this week, according to Crasnick. After having batted a measly .223/.311/.363 in 283 plate appearances for the Blue Jays last season, it's doubtful that the 37-year-old will contribute much to the Cubs this season beyond being a good guy to have in the locker room.

 Grady Sizemore-OF - Indians Nov. 29 - 8:17 am et

Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer believes the Indians are looking for a right-handed first baseman that would allow Matt LaPorta to play the outfield against left-handers.
The first baseman would ride the bench a majority of the time, so the pickings will be slim. Hoynes notes the possibilities, including Kevin Millar, Aubrey Huff and former National Dmitri Young, who played for new manager Manny Acta in Washington. The club also has Triple-A Interleague batting champion Jordan Brown in Cleveland, although Brown is left-handed.

 David Dellucci-DH - Blue Jays Jun. 10 - 5:07 pm et

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that David Dellucci has agreed to terms on a deal with the Blue Jays.
Dellucci is expected to report to Triple-A, and should be promoted to the majors after getting some at-bats in the minors. Considering that Kevin Millar is hitting .252 with a 700 OPS and has been playing regularly at DH, Dellucci could find some at-bats in Toronto and is worth consideration in AL-only leagues.

 Travis Snider-OF - Blue Jays May. 22 - 9:03 am et

Blue Jays optioned outfielder Travis Snider to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Jays manager Cito Gaston began expressing frustration with his 21-year-old outfielder last week. The kid was batting .242/.292/.394 with 25 strikeouts in 99 at-bats this season and hadn't driven a ball out of the park in over 80 plate appearances. Kevin Millar should see the biggest boost in playing time.
 Travis Snider-OF - Blue Jays May. 22 - 12:56 am et

The Jays said after Thursday's game that they're sending Travis Snider back to Triple-A.
The organization again smells an opportunity to save some cash. This is the right time to make the move, with three DH-less games coming up this weekend. Snider was homerless in his last 80 at-bats, and the Jays had stopped mixing him in against left-handers. Kevin Millar will likely take on many of his at-bats against righties, with Jose Bautista also getting additional starts on occasion. Joe Inglett could be called up.
