Jarrod Washburn only wants to pitch in "a limited number of places" in 2010, according to a source of Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com, and the Twins and Mariners top the list.
That could be the extent of the list, actually, as Morosi heard from another source that said he'd be surprised if Washburn signs anywhere but Minnesota and Seattle. This late in the game there aren't many teams that would meet Washburn's asking price anyway, so it's not as though he is sifting through a mountain of offers -- in other words, the Twins/Mariners assertion isn't out on a limb. As for other teams that could attempt to persuade the veteran left-hander, the Mets and Cubs are still looking for starting pitching, and Washburn has reportedly received interest from six teams total.
