 Freddy Garcia-S - White Sox Oct. 3 - 10:28 pm et

Freddy Garcia took a shutout into the eighth to earn a win as the White Sox beat the Tigers 5-1 on Saturday.
With the Twins' win on Saturday afternoon against the Royals, Detroit and Minnesota are now tied atop the AL Central with just one game to play. Garcia ended up being charged with one run in seven-plus innings to finish the season 3-4 with a 4.34 ERA in nine starts. The White Sox figure to exercise his 2010 option and make him their fifth starter next year.
 Freddy Garcia-S - White Sox Sep. 26 - 10:07 pm et

Freddy Garcia was torched for seven earned runs and 10 hits Saturday in six-plus innings against the Tigers.
Garcia started strong and got plenty of offensive help, but simply looked far too hittable. The Tigers managed three doubles, a triple and a home run, maintaining their lead in the AL Central standings. Garcia is now 2-4 with a 4.78 ERA since rejoining the White Sox.
 Freddy Garcia-S - White Sox Sep. 20 - 6:16 pm et

Freddy Garcia threw eight innings of two-run ball against the Royals on Sunday but the White Sox still lost 2-1.
And to think it wasn't Zack Greinke on the other end of the outing. Garcia gave up five hits, walked one, and struck out three. Garcia's done a fine job with a 4.01 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a 27/11 K/BB in seven starts since joining the White Sox. His velocity is still typically in the high 80s, but he's using his slider more and perhaps he can contribute as an innings eater in that role. He'll be a free agent this winter.
 Freddy Garcia-S - White Sox Sep. 16 - 1:40 am et

Freddy Garcia yielded three runs in six innings Tuesday in a win over the Mariners, evening his record at 2-2.
Garcia was outpitched by Ian Snell, who allowed two runs in his six innings, but he got the win after the White Sox scored three times in the top of the seventh. He has a 4.41 ERA in six starts since joining the rotation last month, and he's giving the White Sox reason to want him back next year.
 Freddy Garcia-S - White Sox Sep. 10 - 12:25 am et

Freddy Garcia allowed two runs over six innings against the Athletics on Wednesday night, but suffered a no-decision in an eventual 4-3 win in 13 innings.
Garcia wasn't flashy, barely topping out at 90 MPH, but he was effective, yielding five hits while walking three and whiffing five. It was his fourth straight quality starts. He now has a 4.40 ERA and 23/9 K/BB ratio over five starts (28 2/3 innings) since joining the White Sox in August. The club is likely to pick up his option for next season at this rate.
