Vicente Padilla held the Phillies to one earned run over 7 1/3 innings Friday as the Dodgers rallied for a 2-1 victory in Game 2 of the NLCS.
Padilla and Phillies starter Pedro Martinez put on a show at Dodger Stadium on Friday afternoon, but the game was decided well after the two starters were pulled. The Dodgers rallied for two runs in the eighth inning, courtesy of Philadelphia's poor defense and ineffective bullpen, and Jonathan Broxton dominated the top of the Phillies' batting order in the ninth. The series is tied 1-1 and is headed to a chilly Citizens Bank Park.
