Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Mariners aren't in on free agent catcher Jose Molina.
It's hard to say who is. The Yankees seem comfortable with Francisco Cervelli as Jorge Posada's primary backup this season. The 34-year-old Molina still has a fine defensive reputation, but batted just .217/.292/.268 with one home run and 11 RBI in 138 at-bats last season. His OPS has been under 600 in each of the last two seasons.

According to Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star, a Royals official said the club will "look at" Jose Molina in their search for a starting catcher.
Molina served as Jorge Posada's backup in New York this past season and finished with a .217/.292/.268 batting line, one homer and 11 RBI in 138 at-bats. The 34-year-old should come relatively cheap.

The Yankees did not offer arbitration to any of their free agents.
This list includes Type A free agent Johnny Damon and Type B's Andy Pettitte and Xavier Nady. Hideki Matsui and Jose Molina did not qualify for a free agent ranking. None are a huge surprise, however the team has varying levels of interest in retaining Damon, Pettitte and Matsui.

Jose Molina is starting at catcher for Game 5 of the World Series.
It should come as no surprise with A.J. Burnett on the hill. The Yankees are hoping to wrap up the fall classic with one final win over the Phillies.

Jorge Posada will be on the bench for Game 2 of the World Series, with Jose Molina catching A.J. Burnett.
Burnett hasn't exactly thrived with Molina catching him so far during the postseason, but manager Joe Girardi is sticking with the same routine.

Jose Molina is starting behind the plate for Game 2 of the ALCS.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi waited until Friday afternoon to make the announcement, but it's been pretty apparent that Molina was going to be the guy. He and Game 2 starter A.J. Burnett have built quite the chemistry.
