 Barry Zito-S - Giants Oct. 3 - 12:48 am et

Barry Zito yielded one run over 5 1/3 innings against the Padres on Friday night, taking a no-decision in an eventual 7-2 win.
He gave up just three hits against six strikeouts and a pair of walks before being hit on the left elbow by an Adrian Gonzalez line drive. Zito's bounceback season comes to a close at 10-13 with a 4.03 ERA over 33 starts. He posted a 2.83 ERA over his final 15 starts. Maybe that $126 million contract is starting to look just a little bit better. Maybe.

Barry Zito fanned nine while allowing two runs over seven innings in a defeat of the Rockies on Tuesday.
The Giants have picked up three games in three days to move within 2 1/2 games of the Rockies in the wild card. They'll go for a three-game sweep Wednesday when Jorge De La Rosa and Matt Cain face off.

Barry Zito held Rockies to one earned run over eight-plus innings Saturday as the Giants nabbed a crucial 5-3 win.
This NL West and Wild Card race is starting to get really interesting, with the Giants improving to 71-59 and the Rockies falling to 72-58. Zito continued his recent dominance Saturday, racking up seven strikeouts against one walk. He has an ERA around 2.00 since the All-Star break and is a must-own in all leagues down the stretch. Perhaps he's finally figured out how to pitch effectively without overly-dominant stuff.
 Barry Zito-S - Giants Aug. 25 - 1:48 am et

Barry Zito allowed just one unearned run over six innings against the Rockies on Monday night.
Zito experienced some control problems, handing out a season-high six free passes -- including one with the bases loaded -- but was mostly able to work out of trouble in the no-decision. He's got a sparkling 2.06 ERA in eight starts since the All-Star break.
