According to Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse, the Phillies have exercised Jimmy Rollins' $8.5 million option for 2011.
It's not a bad price tag for Rollins, who hit 21 homers and stole 31 bases this past season for the National League-champion Phillies. His numbers have taken a dip in recent years but the Phils are confident he can get back to where he once was. The 31-year-old Gold Glove shortstop posted an impressive .296/.344/.531 batting line just two years ago.

Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino said they were OK after being hit by pitches in the clinching Game 5 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Wednesday night.
Victorino was plunked on his left elbow by George Sherrill in the fourth inning. He had X-rays, but they came back negative. As for Rollins, he was noticeably limping around the field after being hit on his left foot by Clayton Kershaw in the sixth. He told reporters that if it continues to bother him, he will also have X-rays. "I doubt [it's bad]," said Rollins. "I think it'll just hurt for a little while." In both cases, a return trip to the World Series is the best medicine.

Jimmy Rollins hit a walkoff two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning Monday as the Phillies topped the Dodgers 5-4 in Game 4 of the NLCS.
Rollins hasn't had the best postseason, but came through in a huge way Monday night. The Phillies fell to a 4-2 rut in the sixth inning and the Dodgers' bullpen appeared locked in, but Jonathan Broxton put two batters on in the ninth and Rollins, batting just .211 in the series, was able to take advantage. The Phils hold a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven NLCS.

Jimmy Rollins homered and reached base four times in the Phillies' 6-5 win over the Brewers on Sunday.
Rollins belted a solo homer in the first and also singled, doubled, and walked in the contest. His .249 average is certainly disappointing, but Rollins has salvaged the season with 97 runs scored, 21 homers, 76 RBI, and 30 steals. There have been bigger busts in the first two rounds of the draft.

Jimmy Rollins was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in a win over the Nationals on Thursday night.
Rollins got the Phillies on the board with an RBI double in the fifth inning. Just to show how big of a hole he dug himself, now with a .247/.291/.412 line, his batting average is at it's high-water mark since the first game of the season (.250).
