 Jayson Werth-OF- PhilliesOct. 22 - 12:31 am et
Jayson Werth hit two of his team's four homers Wednesday as the Phillies beat the Dodgers 10-4 in Game 5 of the NLCS to advance to the World Series.
Pedro Feliz and Shane Victorino also homered in an easy victory. The Phillies totaled 35 runs in the five games against the Dodgers, getting the job done against starter and reliever alike. Werth entered with just one hit in the series going into the night, but that too was a homer. He's up to five homers in the postseason to date. Victorino has three himself, after hitting just 10 in 620 at-bats during the regular season.

 Jayson Werth-OF - Phillies Sep. 16 - 10:03 pm et

Jayson Werth was 2-for-4 with a grand slam in a win over the Nationals on Wednesday night.
His seventh-inning grand slam quickly turned the game into a no-doubter. It was Werth's third career granny and his second of the season. Werth is now batting .272/.373/.526 with 34 bombs and 98 RBI this season.

Jayson Werth was 2-for-4 with a go-ahead solo home run in a win over the Nationals on Wednesday night.
The Nationals rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh, but Werth struck right back in the top of the eighth with his 33rd home run of the season. Including an RBI single in the second inning, Werth drove in two runs -- he now has 84 RBI this season. Though he'll likely never hit righties like he does lefties, he has proven himself as an everyday player this season.
 Shane Victorino-OF - Phillies Sep. 7 - 8:51 am et

Shane Victorino was held out of Sunday's lineup with a bruised knee.
Victorino initially suffered the injury in late July and aggravated it on a diving catch Saturday. He might not return until the mid-week. "Shane's left leg swells up on him at times, and he had to get it drained a couple times this week," said manager Charlie Manuel. Jayson Werth will continue to fill in out in center field.

Jayson Werth smacked a three-run homer off Mets starter Oliver Perez on Sunday.
Werth would later add a single to raise his average to .273, but the real gem here is his 29 long balls and 79 RBI. If he can continue to stay healthy and play in 140 games for the first time he's going to blow most if not all of his old career-highs out of the water. The lone negative is having just 13 steals as opposed to 20 in similar playing time last season, but overall Werth has been an excellent draft day bargain.
