Philadelphia needed a roster space to activate Chad Durbin from the disabled list. Lopez went 3-1 with a 5.70 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in 30 innings (five starts and two relief appearances).

Rodrigo Lopez took the loss to the Giants after giving up seven runs -- three earned -- in four innings on Thursday.
It was likely Lopez's final start for a while with Cliff Lee in town. He'll stick around as a reliever for now, but he may be bumped from the roster when Chad Durbin returns.

Looks like his shoulder is alright. He's been impressive in his three starts for the Phillies this year, allowing only five runs on 16 hits over 17 1/3 innings. He'll face the Cardinals in his second start of the week on Saturday.

Rodrigo Lopez (shoulder) expects to be ready to pitch on July 20, the next time the Phillies need a fifth starter.
Lopez left Wednesday's start against the Reds with right shoulder inflammation. "Compared with [Wednesday], I feel 100 percent different," Lopez said. "When I woke up, [it was] fine. And it seemed like everything is normal." Lopez has allowed four runs in 11 1/3 innings (2 starts) for the Phillies.

No tests are scheduled for Rodrigo Lopez, despite leaving Wednesday's start against the Reds with right shoulder inflammation.
"So far, I don't think it's something bad," Lopez said. "I think I can pitch by the 20th. It's a good thing for me that the break is coming because that will give me some more time, but I think I can pitch." Lopez has allowed four runs in his first two starts (11 1/3 innings) as a member of the Phillies.
