The Diamondbacks have decided not to pursue a trade of Augie Ojeda at the moment, reports Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic.
With the signing of Kelly Johnson to be the second baseman, there was some thought to Arizona trading Ojeda. However, the team hasn't received an offer it deemed acceptable, so Ojeda will head into spring training with the team, duking it out with Tony Abreu for the backup infield spot. Abreu has options, so Ojeda should win the job, although it's likely he finishes 2010 elsewhere. |
