According to Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com, the White Sox will likely send prospect right-hander John Ely to the Dodgers to complete the Juan Pierre trade.
The White Sox will choose two players before the end of the year, but the 23-year-old Ely appears to be one of them. A former third-round draft pick in 2007, Ely was 14-2 with a 2.82 ERA last season with Double-A Birmingham, leading the Southern League with 125 strikeouts. He would be a pretty good get for Dodgers GM Ned Colletti.

White Sox acquired outfielder Juan Pierre from the Dodgers for two players to be named later.
Pierre will play center field for the White Sox in 2010 and should bat near the top of their OBP-deficient lineup. He hit a respectable .308/.365/.392 this past season with 16 doubles, eight triples, 30 stolen bases and 31 RBI in 380 at-bats and has typically played solid defense.

Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times has learned that the Dodgers will receive two players to be named later from the White Sox for Juan Pierre.
The Dodgers were content with shipping off Pierre and having to eat only $10.5 million of the two years and $18.5 million remaining on his current contract. He hit a respectable .308/.365/.392 this past season with 16 doubles, eight triples, 30 stolen bases and 31 RBI in 380 at-bats but the 32-year-old's OPS has generally landed in the .650-.700 range.

The Tigers are among the teams with interest in Dodgers outfielder Juan Pierre, according to FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi.
The Dodgers want pitching in return for their fourth outfielder and the Tigers could presumably offer either Nate Robertson or Jeremy Bonderman. Pierre, 32, hit .308/.365/.392 this past season with 16 doubles, eight triples, 30 steals and 31 RBI in 380 at-bats and is also drawing trade interest from the Pirates and White Sox, among a few others.
