According to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald, the Marlins have extended an offer to free agent utilityman Ross Gload.
The offer is thought to be similar to the two-year, $1.9 million contract Wes Helms inked last year. Gload, who turns 34 in April, hit .318 as a pinch-hitter this season and .261/.329/.400 overall. The Marlins declined to pick up his $2.6 million option for 2010 about two weeks ago. |
