 Jody Gerut-OF - Brewers Sep. 17 - 5:33 pm et

Jody Gerut hit a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the fourth inning Thursday to help lift his Brewers over the Cubs 7-4.
It was Gerut's seventh home run of the season and lifted his RBI total to 29. He has hit just .209/.287/.304 as a backup outfielder in Milwaukee, but, as an impending free agent, he's padding his stats at the right time.
 Jody Gerut-OF - Brewers Aug. 30 - 12:37 pm et

Jody Gerut is in the lineup Sunday to give Mike Cameron a day off.
Gerut has been hot lately, 13-for-39 over his last 26 games. He won't fight his way into more playing time in center, but could see a bit more playing time the rest of the way as the Brewers begin to evaluate for the 2010 season.

 Felipe Lopez-2B - Brewers Aug. 26 - 4:51 pm et

Felipe Lopez (foot) is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday.
He met with team doctors Wednesday after injuring the arch of his right foot on Tuesday night, but results of that visit aren't yet available. Jody Gerut takes over Lopez's leadoff spot, with Craig Counsell getting the start at second base, hitting second.

 Corey Hart-OF - Brewers Aug. 2 - 7:44 pm et

Corey Hart had surgery Sunday to remove his appendix and will go on the disabled list.
The Brewers are bringing Bill Hall right back to the majors as a result. Frank Catalanotto may get the majority of the time in right field for the next three weeks. Jody Gerut is the better option, given his defense, but it's pretty clear which of the two manager Ken Macha prefers.

 Corey Hart-OF - Brewers Aug. 2 - 6:30 pm et

The Brewers will discuss Corey Hart's status ater the game after he was taken to the hospital Sunday.
There's some concern that he has appendicitis, which would likely cost him the rest of August. Jody Gerut and Frank Catalanotto would fill in for him if he has to miss a few weeks.
