Braves signed infielder-outfielder Eric Hinske to a one-year, $1 million contract.
After appearing in three straight World Series, baseball's good luck charm heads to Atlanta. Hinske, 32, could take home an additional $500,000 in performance incentives. The veteran batted .242/.348/.432 with eight home runs and 32 RBI in 190 at-bats between the Pirates and Yankees in '09. He'll be a useful left-handed bat who can play both corner outfield positions as well as first and third base. |
