 Aaron Rowand-OF - Giants Aug. 17 - 10:30 pm et

Aaron Rowand went 4-for-5 with a homer and two RBI to lead a big offensive charge as the Giants trounced the Mets 10-1 on Monday night.
Rowand had been slumping his way through the month of August, with a .186 average in 13 games entering tonight's contest, but he finally got back on track with a four-hit effort tonight as the Giants jumped all over Livan Hernandez and the Mets. The big night lifts Rowand's average to .273.

Aaron Rowand went 0-for-3 in his return to the starting lineup Tuesday.
Rowand didn't play Monday because of a strained left hamstring.
 Randy Winn-OF - Yankees Aug. 11 - 1:11 pm et

Randy Winn's playing time might be reduced when Nate Schierholtz returns from the disabled list on Tuesday.
And he really doesn't seem to mind. "This is my 11th year in the big leagues, parts of 12 seasons, and I've never been to the postseason," Winn said. "Whether I'm in there or not, I want to win and that's it." Winn has been in an awful funk, batting just .158 over the last 16 games. Even worse, he hasn't homered since April 25 -- a span of 378 plate appearances. Look for Bruce Bochy to shuffle Winn and Schierholtz along with Aaron Rowand the suddenly hot-hitting Eugenio Velez.

 Aaron Rowand-OF - Giants Aug. 10 - 10:31 am et

Aaron Rowand left Sunday's game with a strained left hamstring.
The injury isn't serious, but could still keep him out of the lineup for a couple of days. Rowand has dealt with all sorts of ailments this season. He's batting .275/.332/.441 this season with nine home runs and 45 RBI.
