Mets signed RHP Josh Fogg to a minor league contract.
Fogg, 33, posted a 3.74 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 45 2/3 innings (one start) with the Rockies last season. He was the beneficiary of some pretty substantial good luck, however, and isn't likely to repeat. It's not yet clear if the Mets will try him out as a starter this spring or stick him in the bullpen.

 Josh Fogg-R - Mets Jan. 28 - 2:50 pm et

The Mets are interested in free agent right-hander Josh Fogg, according to Matt Cerrone of MetsBlog.com.
Fogg, 33, compiled a 3.74 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 45 2/3 innings with the Rockies last season, but it was largely aided by .197 batting average on balls in play, over 100 points lower than his career average. Don't be surprised to see him join the Mets on a minor league deal, but they'd be crazy to pay for a repeat with this shaky skill set.

The Rockies don't intend to bring back Josh Fogg next season.
Fogg confirmed Saturday that the team plans to move in a different direction. After being inked to a minor league contract in January, the 32-year-old right-hander put up a 3.74 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 27/20 K/BB ratio in 45 2/3 innings this season, mostly working in middle relief. It was arguably the best season of his nine-year career, so he'll look to cash in on the free agent market.

Long reliever Josh Fogg is scheduled to start Wednesday evening in place of the injured Aaron Cook.
Fogg estimates he will last about 70 pitches. With that in mind, and the Dodgers as his opponent, we'd have to recommend steering clear for fantasy purposes. He has an impressive 2.25 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 40 innings out of the Rockies' bullpen this season, but probably won't last more than four frames.

 Aaron Cook-S - Rockies Aug. 9 - 1:50 pm et

Aaron Cook will miss his start Tuesday with what he thinks is a case of turf toe.
The plan is for him to start Saturday, but he'll see a specialist first. Josh Fogg is likely to start in his place Tuesday, but if he's needed in relief first, then the Rockies could go to Jhoulys Chacin instead.

Rockies purchased the contract of RHP Josh Fogg from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Fogg will work out of the bullpen, mainly in long relief. He had a 5.80 ERA and 16/17 K/BB ratio in eight starts for Colorado Springs. We're not expecting big things, and you shouldn't either. Matt Belisle was DFA'd to make room.
