The Royals are reportedly activating Juan Cruz (shoulder) from the 15-day D.L.
Initial reports indicated that he would join the Royals' bullpen Thursday, but it appears that he could be back in action on Wednesday night. Cruz, who hasn't pitched since Aug. 5, is sporting a 6.17 ERA in 43 games on the season.

Juan Cruz, who was hoping to be activated from the disabled list Tuesday, instead was asked to throw another bullpen session.
The Royals wanted to be sure his strained shoulder was completely healed. Cruz is expected to rejoin the bullpen corps Thursday night.

Juan Cruz (shoulder) expects to be available Tuesday.
Cruz has been sidelined since August 5 with a minor strain in his right shoulder, but reported no pain or discomfort while throwing 25 pitches of batting practice Saturday. "He threw all pitches," manager Trey Hillman said. "He’ll be ready to go on Tuesday as long as there are no setbacks between now and then." The right-hander had a 6.17 ERA in 43 games before hitting the disabled list, but it's not like the Royals have anything to blow.
