Rangers designated RHP Jason Jennings for assignment.
Jennings was 1-0 with a 1.98 during spring training and showed impressive command, but things went awry once he was awarded a spot in the Rangers' bullpen. The 31-year-old will leave behind a 4.13 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. He allowed 67 hits and 28 walks in 61 innings of work.

 Frank Francisco-R - Rangers Apr. 22 - 1:31 pm et

Frank Francisco is not likely to be available for Wednesday's game after needing 27 pitches to record the final five outs on Tuesday.
It's unclear who manager Ron Washington would turn to in a save situation, but the potential candidates include C.J. Wilson, Eddie Guardado and Jason Jennings.

Jason Jennings has been awarded a spot in the Rangers' bullpen.
Jennings is 1-0 with a 1.98 ERA this spring, having fanned 12 and walked just four batters in 13 2/3 innings. He should make for a fine long reliever, despite lacking much velocity. The Rangers might also view him as an emergency starter.

 Kris Benson-R - Rangers Apr. 1 - 2:25 pm et

The Rangers have told Kris Benson that he'll be in the rotation to begin the year.
It appears that Texas will go with a rotation of Kevin Millwood, Vicente Padilla, Benson, Brandon McCarthy and Matt Harrison and a pen of Frank Francisco, C.J. Wilson, Eddie Guardado, Josh Rupe, Jason Jennings, Warner Madrigal and Scott Feldman. Dustin Nippert and Willie Eyre are DL bound. Of the 12 pitchers, only Francisco is an option in mixed leagues. None of the starters are necessarily every-week plays in AL-only leagues, and Benson and Harrison probably shouldn't be owned at all.

 Jason Jennings-S - Rangers Mar. 30 - 9:36 am et

According to the Dallas Morning News, Jason Jennings is no longer an option for the Rangers' rotation but could claim a bullpen spot.
"It’s something we’re considering," general manager Jon Daniels said. Jennings has pitched well this spring, but his velocity has generally been in the high-80s and he's never relieved previously.

 Jason Jennings-S - Rangers Mar. 28 - 7:28 pm et

Jason Jennings held the Royals scoreless for 3 2/3 innings out of the pen to pick up a win on Saturday.
Jennings struck out four and lowered his ERA to 1.69. He's no higher than seventh on the rotation depth chart, but it looks like the Rangers are considering carrying him as a reliever. His chances have received a nice boost with Dustin Nippert apparently DL bound.
