After homering twice to beat the Padres Thursday, catcher Mike Rivera will draw a second start Friday.
Rivera has been the Brewers' backup catcher all year long but only garnered 63 at-bats before Thursday. His strong showing comes at a time where the Brewers' offense is trying to click, so he'll be back in there at the expense of Jason Kendall. If he has another strong game, he could start eating into Kendall's playing time.

Mike Rivera homered twice to drive in five runs as Milwaukee topped San Diego 12-9 on Thursday.
The Chargers rallied with three late field goals, but it wasn't enough. Rivera's homers were his first two of the year, but he's hit .269 with 25 RBI in 130 at-bats while backing up Jason Kendall these last two years. He's driven in runs at twice Kendall's rate.

Jason Kendall is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers.
Usually Mike Rivera gets the call with Dave Bush on the bump, but Kendall will start instead, bating ninth.
