According to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Braves have agreed to terms on a one-year split contract with Joe Thurston.
Thurston, 30, hit just .225/.316/.330 with one homer and 25 RBI in 267 at-bats this past season with the Cardinals but showed a decent level of versatility on the St. Louis infield. The Phillies, Yankees, Rockies, Dodgers, and Indians also showed interest, according to his agent. Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch
