Mariners re-signed OF Ryan Langerhans to a one-year contract.
The financial terms have not been revealed, though it's doubtful he'll earn more than $1 million in 2010. Langerhans, who turns 30 in February, batted just .218/.311/.386 in 101 at-bats in 2009.

According to Larry Stone of the Seattle Times, Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik said he will re-sign outfielder Ryan Langerhans within the next couple of days.
He was non-tendered by the Mariners on Saturday. Langerhans, who turns 30 in February, batted just .218/.311/.386 in 101 at-bats in 2009, but he carries the reputation as an excellent defensive outfielder. It's not clear whether he will be tendered a major league contract.

Langerhans had a couple of bigs hits, but his .218/.311/.386 line in 101 at-bats wsan't enough to keep him on Seattle's 40-man roster. He'll probably have to settle for a minor league deal somewhere.

Ryan Langerhans clubbed a walk-off two-run homer in a 4-2 win over the Athletics on Tuesday night.
His second walk-off home run of the month, he also went deep to push the Mariners past the Rays on August 8. But with a .221/.317/.419 line in 86 at-bats this season, doesn't expect him to see much playing time with Michael Saunders getting a crack at regular playing time in left field.

The left fielder has been out with a sore shoulder since late last week. With Saunders healthy, Ryan Langerhans goes back to the bench.

Michael Saunders was scratched from Saturday evening's lineup with a jammed righ shoulder.
It's unclear when the injury occurred or how serious it might be. Ryan Langerhans filled in and may be asked to do the same on Sunday.
