 David Ross-C - Braves Jun. 14 - 4:21 pm et

David Ross hit a pair of solo homers against the Orioles on Sunday.
Ross entered the game once the Orioles were already well out in front but his owners will gladly take it. Ross is hitting an unsustainable .296 while contributing five homers in 71 at-bats. He's certainly one of the better backups in the league, and those in two catcher NL-only leagues should peg him with some value.
 David Ross-C - Braves Jun. 9 - 12:28 am et

David Ross delivered an RBI infield single in the bottom of the 15th inning to lift the Braves to a 7-6 victory over the Pirates on Monday night.
The bases-loaded hit came against Jeff Karstens, who was the eighth pitcher to appear for the Pirates. Ross' game-winning hit ended a string of 8 1/3 scoreless innings from the Pittsburgh bullpen, which engaged in a battle of attrition with the Braves 'pen tonight. Ross is hitting .284 with 12 RBI.
 Brian McCann-C - Braves Apr. 28 - 4:07 pm et

Brian McCann (eye) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Myrtle Beach on Tuesday.
McCann visited an eye specialist on Monday and came away with two new contact lenses, despite the fact that he's only been experiencing blurred vision in his left eye. It should become more clear in the next few days whether or not the latest remedy helps fix the problem. David Ross will continue to get the majority of the starts with McCann set to remain on the DL until at least May 10.

 Brian McCann-C - Braves Apr. 24 - 7:55 pm et

Brian McCann was a last minute scratch Friday with his recurring eye injury.
David Ross will catch in his place. McCann has been trouble by eye problems for years and is supposedly adjusting to a new contact, but this recurring condition is worrying. Predicting when he'll play or sit is turning into a guessing game at best now. He may be worth dealing now before this gets more serious.

 Brian McCann-C - Braves Apr. 22 - 10:14 am et

Brain McCann will sit out Wednesday as he adjusts to his new contact lens.
David Ross is expected to to fill in behind the plate. "My eye changed a little bit," McCann said Tuesday. "It’s a little bit more nearsighted now than I was when I got the Lasik done. … Now it’s just a matter of getting used to this contact." McCann is expected to return to the lineup Friday and should be penciled in regularly as we move forward.
