Travis Hafner believes he'll be ready to play every day next season.
Hafner played more than three days in a row just once in 2009 due to lingering fatigue in his left shoulder. He has already begun his offseason hitting program, though, and hopes to build a good amount of strength before the start of the 2010 season. Hafner hit .272/.355/.470 this past year.

 Travis Hafner-DH - Indians Sep. 30 - 6:28 pm et

Travis Hafner went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk and three runs scored against the White Sox in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
All of the babying has worked pretty well, as Hafner has managed a .272/.355/.471 line in 331 at-bats this season. It's certainly nothing special for a DH, but he's been an asset when in the lineup, which is a huge change from last year. That's the good news. The bad is that he's still owed another $40.25 million over the next three years.

Travis Hafner returned to action on Wednesday and homered against the Tigers.
Hafner had been out since the weekend with another round of shoulder problems.

Travis Hafner (shoulder) is expected to return to the lineup Wednesday.
Hafner had his left shoulder examined Monday in Cleveland by team medical director Mark Schickendantz, who saw nothing out of the ordinary. "It's just a strained muscle," Hafner said Tuesday. "One more day, and I'll be good to go." He's been out since the weekend.

Travis Hafner was scratched from Saturday's lineup with a sore left shoulder and isn't expected to play Sunday either.
Hafner just can't seem to get over his shoulder problems. He'll be examined by a specialist Monday, which should give us all a better idea of where he stands, both in the short-term and long-term. Shin-Soo Choo is DHing on Saturday with Chris Gimenez in right field and Andy Marte at first base.

Travis Hafner is still dealing with fatigue in his surgically-repaired shoulder.
As a result, he has required semi-regular days off, including Wednesday. "It took us this long to get him to [play] four days in a row," manager Eric Wedge said. "That’s real. He still has some fatigue in the shoulder. I don’t think he’s hurt, but there have been lasting affects from the surgery and the rehab. I think he needs some down time to be 100 percent." Despite the fatigue, Hafner has hit .364 (8-for-22) with two homers and seven RBI in his last five games.
