 Yorvit Torrealba-C - Padres Dec. 9 - 7:43 pm et

The Rockies and catcher Yorvit Torrealba are about $1 million apart on a two-year contract, according to FOXSports.com's Tracy Ringolsby.
The Rockies reportedly have offered $5 million. If signed, the 31-year-old catcher would pair with Chris Iannetta again next season. Miguel Olivo, Josh Bard and Jason Kendall are backup options for the Rockies if they are unable to ink Torrealba, according to Ringolsby.

 Austin Kearns-OF - Indians Dec. 1 - 8:48 pm et

Nationals declined arbitration to OF Austin Kearns, 1B Dmitri Young, C Josh Bard, LHP Ron Villone and RHP Livan Hernandez.
None of the players were ranked free agents so the Nats didn't stand to gain any compensation by offering them arbitration. Kearns, who hit .195/.336/.305 in '09, will struggle to land a reserve role this winter.

 Wil Nieves-C - Nationals Sep. 18 - 7:01 pm et

Wil Nieves (hamstring) is hoping to be available by Tuesday.
Nieves suffered a hamstring strain on Thursday night, prompting the Nationals to trade for catcher Jamie Burke Friday morning. Josh Bard is the only other available backstop on Washington's roster.

 Wil Nieves-C - Nationals Sep. 17 - 8:36 pm et

Wil Nieves left Thursday's game with an apparent leg injury.
Nieves limped toward the dugout after hustling down the first base line in the third inning. Josh Bard is the only other available catcher on the Nationals' roster and had to enter the game despite a hamstring injury.

 Jesus Flores-C - Nationals Sep. 4 - 5:54 pm et

Nationals activated C Jesus Flores from the 15-day disabled list.
Flores finally returns after rehabbing a stress fracture in his throwing shoulder he received from an errant foul tip. It was expected that he might miss the season, but now it looks like he'll cut into the playing time of Wil Nieves and Josh Bard for September. With the Nats obviously going nowhere, it'd be wise to limit the prized Flores's playing time. Fantasy leaguers will want to take a wait-and-see approach.
