Condrey has been sidelined since July 25 with a left oblique strain. The Phillies decided to bring him back after two rehab appearances with Single-A Lakewood in the South Atlantic League playoffs. He returns to a 3.41 ERA in 36 appearances this season.

Clay Condrey (oblique) has been asked to spend the next two days pitching for Single-A Lakewood in the South Atlantic League playoffs.
Condrey pitched an inning for Double-A Reading on Sunday and reported no issues with his oblique. "It felt good," he said. "It reacted pretty good today. I'm sore, but it's a good pitching sore." He should be back with the Phillies by the end of this week.

Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said Friday that reliever Clay Condrey (oblique) could be activated from the disabled list as early as Sunday.
Condrey is scheduled to pitch in a minor league playoff game Saturday, which will serve as a perfect warm-up for his return to the first-place Phillies. He has been sidelined since straining his left oblique on July 23.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, right-hander Clay Condrey (oblique) "is almost ready to pitch in a competitive situation."
"Competitive situation" is a broad term and could mean a simulated session, a major league outing, or a minor league playoff game. We'll have an update when the Phillies decide which it will be. Condrey had a 3.41 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 37 innings before suffering an oblique injury in late July.

The Phillies have delayed Clay Condrey's rehab assignment as he experiences more discomfort in his oblique.
He'll fly to see a team doctor in Philadelphia. Condrey has been on the DL since July 23 nursing his oblique, but there's no use rushing him back. Oblique injuries tend to linger, so it'd be no surprise if he was shut down the rest of the year.

Clay Condrey (ribs) is scheduled to make a rehab appearance Monday in the Gulf Coast League.
Condrey has been on the disabled list with a left oblique strain since July 23. He'll throw one inning Monday in his first rehab outing and is hoping to rejoin the Phillies in about two weeks.
