Jeremy Guthrie yielded four runs in 7 2/3 innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Sunday.
Guthrie struck out five and walked just two, but three homers turned it into a mediocre outing. After two straight sub-4.00 ERA seasons, Guthrie had his worst season to date with a 10-17 record, 5.04 ERA, and 1.42 WHIP. A declining strikeout rate and trading ground balls for fly balls were the biggest culprits. Some rebound in 2010 is possible, but he's not a strong option.
