The Marlins and Cody Ross have scheduled an arbitration hearing for February 15 to determine the outfielder's 2010 salary.
A three-person panel will be on hand in St. Petersburg, Florida to hear arguments and rule whether Ross will make the $4.45 million he requested last Tuesday or the $4.2 million that the Marlins offered. Ross, 29, hit an impressive .270/.321/.469 last season with 24 home runs and 90 RBI in 559 at-bats. The Marlins, though, haven't lost an arbitration case since 2002. |
