Brewers manager Ken Macha would only identify two "locks" for his 2010 starting rotation in a chat with reporters Tuesday.
No surprise, Yovani Gallardo was one. In somewhat of a surprise, Manny Parra is the other. Parra went 11-11 with an ugly 6.39 ERA in 2009, causing some to project him as a reliever. It seems as if the Brewers are still high on the left-hander. Macha refused to guarantee Jeff Suppan and Dave Bush spots in the rotation, and there's talk that Bush might actually be non-tendered Saturday. The Brewers are reportedly closing in on a three-year deal with Randy Wolf that would give them three guaranteed starters. |
