Chase Utley finished with four RBI on two home runs as the Phillies topped the Yankees 8-6 in Game 5 of the World Series on Monday night.
Utley got going early with a three-run shot in the bottom of the first inning and later added a solo dinger in the seventh. The show of power vaulted him into the history books and moved the Phillies one game closer to the Yankees in the best-of-seven series. Only he and Reggie Jackson have hit five home runs in a single Fall Classic. The series is headed back to the Bronx.

Chase Utley hit a pair solo homers off CC Sabathia in Wednesday's Game 1.
With a walk in the first, Utley reached base in a 26 straight postseason game, breaking Boog Powell's record from 1966-71. He later took Sabathia deep in the third and sixth innings. He was the first player since Troy Glaus in 2002 to hit two homers in Game 1 of a World Series.

Chase Utley denied that he is dealing with an injury.
Utley dismissed concerns about his right foot and surgically repaired right hip while acknowledging that he wouldn't share that information even if he was injured. "I think the days off right now are pretty special," Utley said. "You don't have many days off during the regular season. You let your body relax, heal up. It's a good thing." Utley enters the World Series with a .303/.439/.394 line during the postseason, however he has driven in just two runs.

Chase Utley returned to action on Sunday and went 1-for-4 against the Astros.
Utley missed Saturday's game because of a bruised right foot.

Updating a previous item, Chase Utley is out of Saturday's game against the Astros due to a bruised right foot.
Utley fouled a ball off the foot in the third inning of Friday's game. X-rays on the foot were negative, but he is currently experiencing swelling in the foot. He is considered day-to-day. Miguel Cairo will fill in on Saturday.
