According to Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pirates have signed right-hander D.J. Carrasco to a minor league contract.
If Carrasco makes the team out of Spring Training, he will make a $950,000 base salary with a chance for an additional $250,000 in performance bonuses based on appearances. Carrasco, 32, posted a 3.76 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 93 1/3 innings last season before being non-tendered by the White Sox in December. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
