Marlins signed RHP Seth McClung to a minor league contract.
The deal also comes with an invitation to spring training, where McClung will try to earn a spot in the Marlins' bullpen as a long releiver and mop-up man. The 28-year-old had a 4.94 ERA, a 40/39 K/BB ratio and a 1.63 WHIP in 62 innings (two starts) for the Brewers last season.

According to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy, free agent right-hander Seth McClung is close to inking a minor league deal with the Marlins.
McClung posted a lousy 4.94 ERA and an even uglier 1.63 WHIP in 62 innings (two starts) last season for the Brewers. He'll likely serve in a long relief role for the Fish and may even collect some emergency spot starts, but he should not register on many fantasy radars for drafts this spring.

Brewers non-tendered RHP Seth McClung.
An easy call, as McClung made $1.66 million while amassing a 4.94 ERA in 62 innings last season. The Brewers have decided to keep both Dave Bush and Jody Gerut, so they might be nearly done shopping for the winter. They could have freed up another $6 million by letting them go.

Seth McClung told fans on his Twitter account that he will be non-tendered a contract.
McClung thanked a bevy of people, including the Milwaukee fans and noted that "it was not my choice to leave." The right-hander had a great start to the 2009 season of the bullpen but things fell apart when he joined the rotation. He'll attempt to find a big-league job, but the 28-year old may be forced to settle for a minor league deal.

Seth McClung is frustrated with his recent inactivity and hinted he may not be a Brewer after the year.
McClung had a fantastic start to the season out of the bullpen, but his numbers took a turn for the worse when he was placed in the rotation midseason. Although he's returned to the bullpen since, he hasn't pitched in the last nine days. He put on his Twitter account that "the writing is on the wall." Arbitration-eligible, McClung would likely find some interest in his services should the Brewers opt to drop the right-hander. The 28-year old is making $1.7 million on the year, far too much for a middle reliever low on the totem pole.

Brewers activated RHP Seth McClung from the 15-day disabled list.
McClung has been sidelined since July 25 with a sprained ligament in his surgically-repaired right elbow. He returns to a 5.03 ERA and 1.63 WHIP in 38 appearances this season.
