According to Tracy Ringolsby of FOXSports.com, the Rockies have considered signing right-hander Todd Wellemeyer.
The starting rotation appears set in Colorado, so this would strictly be for depth in the event of injury, or if Jeff Francis suffers a setback in his return from shoulder surgery. Wellemeyer, 31, struggled with elbow injuries of his own last season, compiling a 5.89 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in 122 1/3 innings with the Cardinals. Source: FOXSports.com
