Jon Paul Morosi reports that the Indians are not actively shopping infielder Jhonny Peralta.
The Twins and Cardinals are among teams still seeking a third baseman, but the Indians aren't pushing to move him at this time. With one year and $4.6 million left on his current contract, the Indians are probably hoping he can get off to a good start before they consider a trade. Peralta, 27, batted a disappointing .254/.316/.375 with 11 home runs and 83 RBI in '09.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Indians could be persuaded to trade shortstop-third baseman Jhonny Peralta if offered the right package.
Morosi floats the Twins as a possibility for their third base vacancy, though they are not actively pursuing the 27-year-old. Peralta suffered through a disappointing season in '09, batting .254/.316/.375 with 11 home runs, 83 RBI and a pathetic .690 OPS. He is owed $4.6 million next season, with a $7 million club option for 2011.

Jhonny Peralta hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning Saturday as the Indians topped the Orioles 9-8.
Peralta also drove in a run with a double to right field in the seventh inning and finished 3-for-5. He's batting .264 on the season with 80 RBI in 554 at-bats. The Indians now stand 63-91.

Jhonny Peralta finished 2-for-4 with four RBI as the Indians routed the Royals 13-6 on Saturday night.
Peralta knocked a two-run double in the fourth inning and a two-run single in the sixth as the Tribe took their late-season angst out on the Kansas City pitching staff. The infielder is batting .275 this season with 33 doubles and 77 RBI in 509 at-bats.

Jhonny Peralta belted his 10th homer of the season on Sunday by taking Mariner starter Felix Hernandez deep for a solo shot.
Peralta also added an RBI single and scored twice. With just the 10 homers and a lowly 49 runs scored in 113 games, Peralta has been a major disappointment in his age-27 season. The Indians don't have better internal options at the hot corner and won't have much money to work with this winter, so he should be back there again in 2010.

Jhonny Peralta went 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBI as the Indians came back to defeat the Angels 8-6 on Monday night.
The Angels have rattled off plenty of their own comeback victories lately, but got a taste of their own medicine tonight as the Indians scored four times in the top of the ninth on a three-run blast by Victor Martinez and a solo shot by Peralta. The runs came at the expense of Brian Fuentes, who ended a string of 17 straight converted save opportunities. The four-hit night raises Peralta's average to .271.
