 Joe Inglett-OF - Brewers Sep. 14 - 9:32 am et

Joe Inglett suffered a right rib strain during batting practice Sunday.
Inglett was penciled into the starting lineup, but had to be replaced by Jose Bautista out in right field. He'll struggle to return to action before the end of the season and is likely to finish with his current .281/.347/.348 batting line.

 Jose Bautista-OF - Blue Jays Sep. 10 - 3:41 pm et

Jose Bautista homered, doubled and walked versus Twins starter Scott Baker on Thursday.
Very likely his best game against a right-hander all season. Bautista had been hitting just .184 with one homer in 141 at-bats against righties. He's plenty useful as a part-time player since he excels against left-handers and he can cover several positions, but the Blue Jays have hurt themselves by using him against righties as much as they have.
 Edwin Encarnacion-3B - Blue Jays Aug. 24 - 6:29 pm et

Blue Jays placed third baseman Edwin Encarnacion on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 21, with a strained left hamstring.
Encarnacion suffered the injury last Thursday and hasn't shown enough improvement. He was acquired at the trade deadline for Scott Rolen and has hit .186 with one homer and three RBI during his time with Toronto. John McDonald and Jose Bautista will share starts at third base while he's out.
 Vernon Wells-OF - Blue Jays Jul. 20 - 9:22 am et

Vernon Wells (stomach flu) missed a third consecutive start Sunday.
Alex Rios was switched to center field again on Sunday, with Jose Bautista filling in at the right field position. Wells should return to the lineup early this week. He's batting .263/.312/.411 in 365 at-bats this year.
