Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com says that Andy Marte "hasn't swayed [manager Eric] Wedge or the organization towards believing that he has a future as a regular here."
Marte raked in Triple-A to begin the year, finally getting the callup at the end of July. His struggles at the major league level continued, however, and it looks as if the organization is ready to give up on him. He's got a guaranteed spot in a Triple-A club next year and the right team might offer him big league time (Orioles?). The 25-year old could be a sleeper pick in 2010 league-only leagues if he gets handed starting time.

 Matt LaPorta-OF - Indians Sep. 22 - 8:51 pm et

Matt LaPorta left in the fourth inning Tuesday with a hip injury
LaPorta injured himself while sliding into home plate on a Trevor Crowe single and was later diagnosed with left hip inflammation. He was 1-for-1 before departing, and is being called "day-to-day."

Andy Marte went 2-for-4 and blasted a three-run homer Saturday as the Indians topped the Orioles 5-3.
Marte's dinger broke open a large lead for the Tribe and wasted a valiant effort by the Orioles' Chris Tillman. Jamey Carroll and Joel Peralta also did their part, driving in a run apiece. Marte is batting .289 this season with just three dingers and 15 RBI, but he always seems to kill Baltimore pitching.
 Andy Marte-1B - Indians Aug. 27 - 10:48 pm et

Andy Marte went 2-for-4 and launched a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the ninth Thursday night as the Indians beat the Orioles 5-4.
Marte also tripled earlier in the game. The Indians are giving the former top prospect one more shot to shed his bust label, and he seems to be taking advantage. He's hitting .361/.385/.611 over his past 10 games. He's definitely worth keeping an eye on during the final month of the season.
 Andy Marte-1B - Indians Jul. 28 - 12:13 pm et

Indians purchased the contract of INF Andy Marte from Triple-A Columbus.
With Ryan Garko on his way to San Francisco, Marte is expected to land the majority of starts at first base in Cleveland. He was batting .327/.369/.593 with 18 home runs and 66 RBI at Columbus this season, and will make a nice addition to most fantasy rosters. If manager Eric Wedge decides to move him around the infield, his position eligibility could also be of value.
 Andy Marte-1B - Indians Jul. 28 - 10:58 am et

The Indians are expected to call up infielder Andy Marte to take Ryan Garko's place on the 25-man roster.
The move should be made official before Tuesday night's game. Marte is batting .327/.369/.593 at Triple-A this season with 18 home runs and 66 RBI. If he's given the majority of starts at first base, there's a chance he could rack up fantasy value in a hurry. He's a must-have in AL-only leagues.
