The Mariners "remain a long-shot candidate" to sign free agent second baseman Orlando Hudson, according to FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi.
We've heard rumblings of an interested mystery American League team, so it seems this rumor could have some legs. That said, Hudson doesn't exactly fit in Seattle, where Jose Lopez mans second base and Casey Kotchman is expected to man first. The M's would probably have to move one of the two in order to spin a deal, unless the "O-Dog" is fine with a backup role. Source: FOXSports.com
