 Gavin Floyd-S- White SoxSep. 21 - 9:10 pm et
Gavin Floyd (hip) is in danger of missing another start.
Floyd was already scratched from Monday's start and his hip isn't progressing like the White Sox had hoped. "I don’t want to aggravate it," said the right-hander. "Certain movements have gotten better, but I still feel it." He's 11-11 with a 4.06 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 30 starts this season.

 Gavin Floyd-S - White Sox Sep. 17 - 7:14 pm et

Gavin Floyd (hip) has been scratched from his scheduled Monday start.
Floyd left his last outing after three innings with left hip soreness and, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, could soon be shut down for the entire season. "The main thing for us is to make sure we keep this guy healthy for the future," manager Ozzie Guillen said Thursday. "The way this guy has pitched for us the last two years, he deserved and earned our consideration." It's not yet clear who will replace him.

Gavin Floyd came out of Wednesday's game after three innings with left hip soreness.
He gave up three runs to the Mariners before departing. He's probably day-to-day, but if the White Sox decide to shut him down, they could have top prospect Daniel Hudson replace him.

Gavin Floyd gave up five runs over five innings in a 7-1 loss to the Angels on Friday night.
Floyd had three very good innings, sandwiched by two really bad ones. No surprise, the bad ones were the difference in the game. All told, he allowed six hits while walking two, striking out two and throwing a critical wild pitch that led to a gift insurance run. Naturally, the White Sox can't afford outings like this when they are barely hanging on in the playoff race.

Gavin Floyd took a perfect game into the sixth and struck out a career-high 11 over eight innings Saturday in a 5-1 win over the Red Sox.
Nick Green ended the no-hitter with a single in the sixth, and Jason Bay spoiled the shutout bid by homering in the eighth. Floyd allowed three hits in all and walked none. He had previously fanned 10 batters twice in his career, including once this year against the Yankees. He's now 11-9 with a 3.84 ERA.
 Gavin Floyd-S - White Sox Aug. 26 - 10:00 pm et

Gavin Floyd allowed two runs over six innings against the Red Sox on Wednesday night, but suffered a no-decision in a 3-2 loss.
Floyd was mostly effective, limiting the Red Sox to just five hits, but two solo homers, including a go-ahead blast by Alex Gonzalez ultimately did him in. He struck out four and walked one in the loss, upping his K/BB ratio to 145/56 in 171 innings this season. Floyd squares off against the division-rival Twins next week.
