Ian Snell yielded three runs over six innings against the Rangers on Friday night, suffering a no-decision in an eventual 7-4 loss.
Snell scattered nine hits while walking three and fanning three, taking a no-decision. He is 5-2 with a 4.20 ERA over 12 starts since coming over from the Pirates in July. Even though those numbers are encouraging, they are mostly aided by a luckier BABIP. Keep in mind that he had 39 walks over 64 1/3 innings, so he's not out of the woods yet.

 Ian Snell-S - Mariners Sep. 26 - 4:27 pm et

Ian Snell yielded two runs -- one earned -- over 6 2/3 innings against the Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon, but suffered a no-decision in an eventual 5-4 loss.
Snell held the Blue Jays scoreless until the fifth. He allowed just four hits, including a home run by Jose Bautista, while striking out six and walking one. Though Mark Lowe coughed up the lead in the eighth, Snell is 5-2 with a 4.21 ERA in 11 starts since being acquired by the Mariners. He has great bounceback potential for 2010.

Ian Snell limited the Yankees to one run in 5 1/3 innings to record a win on Sunday.
Snell walked four, gave up four hits, and struck out just two, so he needed to pitch himself out of a few jams to come away with such quality results. The right-hander is 5-2 with a 4.53 ERA and 1.57 WHIP since joining the Mariners. A strong finish will cement his place in the team's plans for 2010.

Ian Snell expects to be fine to make his next start after taking a liner off his right wrist on Saturday.
"There's some redness and some seam marks where the ball hit him, but he feels fine and I think he'll be fine for his next start," manager Don Wakamatsu said. "I'll tell you what, as soon as it happens, you just cringe. I thought for sure it got his hand and broke something, so we're awfully lucky."

Ian Snell pitched the Mariners past the A's by allowing one run over six innings on Monday.
Snell has turned in three nice starts and two real stinkers in five outings since coming over from the Pirates. We'd be more optimistic if not for the 13/17 K/BB ratio in 25 innings.
 Ian Snell-S - Mariners Aug. 14 - 12:59 am et

Ian Snell was tagged for eight runs in six-plus innings by the Yankees on Thursday.
Snell wasn't very good, but at least he managed to eat important innings in the opener of a four-game series. The Mariners probably shouldn't have pressed their luck after he got through six innings with six runs allowed. The first two men reached to start the seventh, and both came around to score off reliever Garrett Olson.
