Ryan Church will make a $1.5 million base salary in his one-year contract with the Pirates, reports Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
He could take home an additional $1.32 million in performance bonuses based on number of plate appearances. Church, 31, hit .273/.338/.384 with four home runs and 40 RBI with the Mets and Braves last season. He figures to jockey for playing time with Garrett Jones and Brandon Moss in right field.

Ryan Church is scheduled to take his physical for the Pirates on Tuesday.
Church agreed to terms with the Bucs on Monday night, though we're still not sure of the length of the contract or how much it's worth. The 31-year-old hit .273/.338/.384 with four home runs and 40 RBI last year and will battle for playing time in the Pittsburgh outfield in 2010.

The Pirates have agreed to terms on a contract with outfielder Ryan Church, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Church hit .273/.338/.384 with four home runs and 40 RBI last year. If he plays well enough in the early going he may be able to snag playing time from Garrett Jones and Brandon Moss in right field. The 31-year-old is a .272/.345/.441 career hitter and hit 15 home runs back in 2007 with the Nats.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Pirates are nearing a deal with free agent outfielder Ryan Church.
"Steps in the process are still remaining," according to Morosi, but a deal could be announced in the next few days. Church, 31, was non-tendered by the Braves last month after hitting .273/.338/.384 with four home runs and 40 RBI in '09. Assuming he can stay on the field, Church would at least share right field duties with Garrett Jones and Brandon Moss.

Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch suggests that the Cardinals should look at free agent outfielder Ryan Church.
Church could serve as the Cardinals' fourth outfielder, behind Matt Holliday, Colby Rasmus and Ryan Ludwick, and would also find at-bats as the club's lone left-handed pinch-hitter. The 31-year-old outfielder batted .273/.338/.384 with four home runs and 40 RBI in 359 at-bats last season. It's not clear if St. Louis management has contacted his representatives.
