Tigers' general manager Dave Dombrowski said that Ryan Raburn will play every day in the outfield in 2010.
"We're really going to dedicate Ryan Raburn to playing outfield full time. That will help his defense," Dombrowski said. The 28-year-old batted .291 with 16 home runs, 45 RBI and an .891 OPS in 261 at-bats last season.

 Ryan Raburn-OF - Tigers Jan. 8 - 7:29 pm et

General manager Dave Dombrowski said the Tigers aren't looking to add a designated hitter.
This would seem to eliminate Detroit as a potential destination for veteran slugger Jim Thome. It doesn't mean Dombrowski hasn't dismissed adding another hitter, but the designated hitter spot figures to be shared by Carlos Guillen and Magglio Ordonez when they are not being used in the outfield or Ryan Raburn, among others. Raburn, who turns 29 in April, batted .291 with 16 home runs, 45 RBI and an 891 OPS in 261 at-bats last season.

 Miguel Cabrera-1B - Tigers Oct. 6 - 2:22 pm et

Miguel Cabrera is batting cleanup in Tuesday's one-game playoff against the Twins.
Cabrera is just 1-for-15 in October and it's probably fair to say that he wasn't prepared to play baseball over the weekend. Carlos Guillen will be Tuesday's designated hitter, while Ryan Raburn is starting in left field and Ramon Santiago is at shortstop.

Ryan Raburn homered twice to drive in three runs as the Tigers topped the White Sox 5-3 on Sunday.
Raburn belted a two-run shot off starter John Danks in the second to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead. He then added an insurance solo shot in the sixth. Raburn ends the campaign with 16 homers and 45 RBI in just 257 at-bats and has surely carved out a significant role with the club next season.
 Magglio Ordonez-OF - Tigers Sep. 29 - 5:33 pm et

Magglio Ordonez is in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins.
Ordonez sat out the first game. In addition to Ordonez, Adam Everett will play shortstop with Ryan Raburn in left field and Marcus Thames as designated hitter against the southpaw Brian Duensing.

 Ryan Raburn-OF - Tigers Sep. 22 - 10:24 pm et

Ryan Raburn was 2-for-3 with a home run in a win over the Indians on Tuesday night.
Raburn reached base in four out of five plate appearances, also drawing two walks. He has now homered in consecutive games. Raburn has become a real weapon for Jim Leyland against southpaws, as he has 11 home runs in 125 at-bats against them this season.
