Asked if he was going to trade Prince Fielder or Ryan Braun, general manager Doug Melvin said on Wednesday, "I don't see that happening."
No real surprise here. The Brewers should be doing everything in their power to lock up Fielder long-term, and Braun's eight-year, $45 million deal through 2015 remains a huge bargain for Milwaukee.

Manager Ken Macha said he expects to be back in 2010.
Macha, who had a staff evaluation meeting with general manager Doug Melvin this week, said that his job status didn't even come up during the conversation. "We had a sit-down and talked about next year," said Macha. "He wanted my input on a bunch of stuff." Macha has one year left on his contract, but Melvin hasn't decided whether to bring him back.
