Dodgers signed OF Andre Ethier to a two-year, $15.25 million contract.
Ethier, who earned $3.1 million last season, will make $6 million in 2010. The 27-year-outfielder batted .272/.361/.508 in '09, while amassing career-highs with 31 homers and 106 RBI. He batted just .194 against southpaws and isn't much of a fielder, so he's not exactly a complete player yet, but he has quickly become a fan favorite for his late-inning heroics and steady middle-of-the-order presence.

Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports that Andre Ethier's new two-year deal with the Dodgers is for a base salary of $15.25 million.
He could take home even more with incentives. Ethier's annual salary will more than double from the $3.1 million he earned last season. The 27-year-old batted .272/.361/.508, posting career-highs with 31 bombs and 106 RBI as he continues to emerge as a legitimate force in the middle of the lineup.

The Dodgers are talking with manager Joe Torre about extending his contract through 2011 and having him move into a baseball operations role in 2012.
Torre seems to have adapted easily to life in Los Angeles and has led the Dodgers to consecutive National League West division titles. The Dodgers' entire coaching staff will return intact for 2010.

The Dodgers announced Monday that their entire coaching staff will return intact for the 2010 season.
That includes hitting coach Don Mattingly, pitching coach Rick Honeycutt, first base coach Mariano Duncan, third base coach Larry Bowa, bench coach Bob Schaefer and bullpen coach Ken Howell. Manager Joe Torre will also be back and told reporters over the weekend that he might manage beyond 2010.

Jamie McCourt was denied her request to be immediately reinstated as the Dodgers' CEO at a hearing Thursday in Los Angeles.
Frank McCourt fired his wife from the gig in late October along with a divorce filing, claiming she had an affair with her personal driver. It's still not clear how all of this will affect the ownership status of the team, but it's certainly not good as the baseball calendar flips to the free agency period.
