According to FOXSports.com, the Yankees' offseason plan is unclear.
Relying on a three-man rotation throughout the playoffs, the Yankees could look to make the big splash by signing John Lackey or trading for Roy Halladay. However, they could also fortify the bullpen, inserting Joba Chamberlain and Phil Hughes back in the rotation. To that end, according to a rival executive, the Yankees plan to pursue relievers Rafael Soriano and Mike Gonzalez. Still, another source suggests that the Yankees prefer to address any bullpen holes from within. Whatever plan the World Champions may have, it's being kept under wraps. Source: FOXSports.com
