Mike Burns surrendered six earned runs in three innings Saturday against the Nationals but escaped with a no-decision.
Burns was granted the start in favor of Carlos Villanueva, who is 2-10 with a 6.25 ERA this season. Neither would have been a great bet, but Burns looked absolutely terrible. He served up five hits, including a grand slam to Nationals second baseman Ronnie Belliard, while his ERA climbed to 6.17.
