 Jack Taschner-R - Phillies Sep. 1 - 11:01 am et

Phillies purchased the contract of LHP Jack Taschner from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Keep in mind that corresponding moves are no longer necessary in most cases because teams are now allowed to carry 40 players. Taschner, 31, was designated for assignment in July after posting a 5.20 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and 17/20 K/BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings with the Phillies. He went 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA in 20 games at the Triple-A level and will be used as a situational left-hander.
 Jack Taschner-R - Phillies Jul. 7 - 9:12 am et

Phillies sent LHP Jack Taschner outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Taschner will stick around after failing to garner much interest on the trade market. He was designated for assignment over the weekend due in large part to his 5.20 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and 17/20 K/BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings.
 Jack Taschner-R - Phillies Jul. 3 - 6:36 pm et

Phillies designated LHP Jack Taschner for assignment.
Acquired from the Giants in late March for catcher Ronny Paulino, Taschner posted a 5.20 ERA, a 1.92 WHIP and a 17/20 K/BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings for the Phillies. He surrendered six runs in his last three outings. The Phils now have 10 days to trade or release him.
 Scott Eyre-R - Phillies Jun. 12 - 4:55 pm et

Phillies placed LHP Scott Eyre on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left calf.
Eyre hurt himself Thursday night. The Phillies will rely more on Jack Taschner as a lefty specialist in Eyre's absence.
 J.A. Happ-S - Phillies Apr. 3 - 6:09 pm et

The Phillies announced that left-handers J.A. Happ and Jack Taschner have locked up the final two bullpen spots.
Taschner's spot was never really in danger after the Phils traded for him last week. Happ could have been sent to Lehigh Valley's rotation after losing out to Chan Ho Park as the fifth starter, but he pitched well enough to beat out Gary Majewski for the long-reliever role. Happ won't have value in NL-only leagues unless Cole Hamels hits a roadblock in his return from elbow soreness.
