Mitch Stetter has been scouted by the Red Sox in case the team needs another situational lefty, Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports.
Stetter, who gave up Gary Sheffield's 500th homer, has held lefties to a .170 batting average in 46 at-bats in his career. Cafardo says the Sox are just being thorough in case they need another lefty in the bullpen down the road. Doesn't bode well for Javier Lopez's grasp on a bullpen spot. |
