Vernon Wells suffered a strained left hamstring on Monday and could miss a month or more.
"Right now, preliminarily, I'd say he's going to miss four weeks," said Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi before seeing the results of an MRI scheduled for this afternoon. If Wells has to open the season on the disabled list, the Jays would likely shift Alex Rios to center, with Jason Lane or Buck Coats taking over in right field.
